Who we are

Show Up (“Show Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates showup.services, provides website and local SEO services, and offers the ShowUp Score website audit tool.

Information you give us

We collect information you choose to provide when you:

  • Submit a contact or project inquiry
  • Request information about our services
  • Unlock a ShowUp Score report
  • Join an email list or consent to receive occasional marketing messages

Depending on the form, this may include your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Business name
  • Website address
  • Project details
  • Messages or other information you submit

We use this information to respond to you, deliver the requested report, discuss potential services, and manage our relationship with you.

Information collected by the ShowUp Score audit

When you submit a website for an audit, we collect and process:

  • The website URL and domain you enter
  • Publicly accessible content and technical information from a limited number of pages on that website
  • Page titles, descriptions, headings, links, images, structured data, calls to action, contact information, response codes, and similar public website signals
  • Website-performance information made available through services such as Google PageSpeed Insights
  • The audit score, findings, recommendations, pages scanned, and report status
  • Whether the report has been unlocked
  • Your email address if you choose to unlock the full report
  • Whether you separately consented to receive occasional marketing emails

The audit reads publicly accessible website information. It does not sign into the submitted website, access private accounts, submit forms, or intentionally retrieve information from password-protected areas.

Technical and usage information

To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website and audit tool, we may process limited technical information such as:

  • Browser and device information
  • User-agent information
  • Request timestamps
  • Error and diagnostic information
  • A pseudonymous identifier used for rate limiting and abuse prevention
  • A hashed identifier derived from an IP address when available to our servers

We do not intentionally store your raw IP address as part of the audit-lead record.

If an IP address is not available through our hosting infrastructure, we may set a first-party HttpOnly session cookie called showup_aud_sid. This randomly generated identifier helps us prevent abuse and does not contain your name, email address, or other directly identifying information.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate and display ShowUp Score audits
  • Deliver full reports by email
  • Respond to questions and service inquiries
  • Recommend website, SEO, or related services
  • Maintain and improve the website and audit tool
  • Measure traffic, navigation, and funnel performance
  • Attribute leads and conversions to marketing campaigns
  • Improve the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing
  • Detect abuse, fraud, security problems, or excessive automated use
  • Troubleshoot technical and email-delivery issues
  • Maintain business and operational records
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Send occasional marketing messages when you have chosen to receive them

We do not use an audit score to make decisions about a person's employment, credit, housing, insurance, or eligibility for a service.

AI-assisted analysis

The ShowUp Score is calculated using rules-based technical checks. Artificial intelligence does not determine the numeric score.

After the checks are completed, selected public website information and verified findings may be processed by an AI service to help draft:

  • The executive summary
  • Plain-English explanations
  • The prioritized action plan
  • Recommendations based on the verified findings

AI-generated wording is intended to explain the audit. It may be incomplete or imperfect and should not be treated as legal, financial, or guaranteed SEO advice.

Report links

Each audit report is associated with a unique report link.

These links are designed to be difficult to guess, but they do not require a separate user account or password. Anyone who receives or is forwarded the link may be able to view the associated report.

Please treat your report link as private if you do not want others to access it.

Emails and marketing choice

Submitting your email to unlock a report allows us to:

  • Deliver the requested report
  • Send messages directly related to that audit
  • Respond if you contact us about the report or our services

Submitting an email to receive a report does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

The optional marketing checkbox is off by default. We will send occasional tips or promotional messages only when you separately choose that option or otherwise request them.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by emailing team@showup.services.

We may still send non-marketing messages necessary to deliver a requested report, respond to an inquiry, or manage an active customer relationship.

Tracking and measurement technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate, secure, and understand the site. These technologies help us:

  • Keep sessions secure and functional
  • Measure traffic, navigation, and funnel performance
  • Attribute visits and conversions to marketing campaigns
  • Improve the effectiveness of our advertising and remarketing, where enabled

We use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics and advertising/measurement platforms, including social advertising platforms, to help us understand how visitors find and use the site. Those providers may process information under their own terms to provide measurement, attribution, audience, security, and advertising services.

These tools may collect or receive information in broad categories such as browser and device information, pages viewed and interactions, referring and landing pages, approximate location, campaign and referral identifiers, cookie or similar identifiers, and timestamps.

We also maintain limited first-party analytics and operational event data to understand use of the site and funnel performance. We design that store so that analytics event payloads do not include form fields such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or report tokens.

If our use of analytics, cookies, or advertising technology materially changes, we will update this policy and provide any notices or controls required by applicable law.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Show Up, including providers of:

  • Website hosting and application infrastructure
  • Database storage
  • Transactional email delivery
  • AI-assisted report writing
  • Website-performance data
  • Security, monitoring, and error reporting
  • Analytics, measurement, attribution, advertising, and social advertising services

These providers may process information as needed to provide services to us and are subject to their own contractual and security obligations. Providers of analytics, measurement, and advertising services may also process information under their own terms to deliver measurement, attribution, audience, security, and advertising services.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with a law, court order, or valid legal request
  • Protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Show Up, our customers, or others
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or transfer of some or all of the business

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Depending on applicable law, some disclosures to advertising, measurement, or analytics providers may be treated as “sharing” or targeted-advertising activity even if no money changes hands.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including to:

  • Deliver and maintain audit reports
  • Respond to inquiries
  • Manage prospective and active customer relationships
  • Prevent abuse
  • Maintain business records
  • Honor unsubscribe requests
  • Resolve disputes
  • Meet legal, accounting, or security requirements

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and our ongoing relationship with you.

We may retain limited suppression records after an unsubscribe request so we do not accidentally add the address back to a marketing list.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including:

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Restricted database access
  • Server-side access controls
  • Unique report tokens
  • Hashed identifiers where practical
  • Rate limiting and abuse protections
  • Service providers designed for secure data storage and delivery

No website, database, or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to avoid unnecessary collection and restrict access to information we retain.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may use browser or device controls to block or delete cookies and similar identifiers. Some third-party platforms offer privacy or ad settings that let you limit how they use information for measurement, attribution, or advertising. Where applicable, you may also have rights to opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing. Rights vary by location and applicable law.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request that we:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you
  • Provide access to that information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information
  • Stop sending marketing communications
  • Explain how information has been used or disclosed

You may make a request by emailing team@showup.services.

Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant inquiry or audit. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, or to honor an unsubscribe request.

California law provides qualifying consumers with specific rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and certain sales or sharing of personal information. Whether every part of that law applies depends in part on the nature and size of the business, but the request process above gives visitors a practical way to contact us about their information.

Children's privacy

Show Up is intended for business owners and adults seeking website or marketing services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact team@showup.services so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Third-party websites

Our website and reports may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control their privacy, security, or content practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change.

When we make a material update, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and provide additional notice when appropriate.
